A split-flap display,
for anything you want to say.
Send text to a real-time, mechanical-sounding digital departures board. Configure the grid, share the display, and push messages from a dashboard or an API. n8n Can work too.
Configurable grid
Set any number of rows and columns per board, matching whatever space you're displaying it in.
Send from anywhere
Push text from the dashboard or via a per-board API key over a simple HTTP endpoint.
The real sound
Every character flips through its sequence with an authentic mechanical clack.
What is a split-flap display?
Split-flap (or "flip-flap") boards are the mechanical displays you might remember from old train stations and airports — each character sits on a set of hinged flaps that click forward through a sequence of letters and numbers until it lands on the right one. FLAPWALL recreates that same look, sound, and motion digitally: build a board of any size, then update it in real time from a dashboard or an API — no physical hardware required.
Where it's used
Anywhere a room needs to see the same information at a glance.
Airports & transit
Gate numbers, departure times, and delay notices — the classic use case, now easy to run on any screen.
Production floors
Live line status, shift counts, and downtime alerts, visible from anywhere on the factory floor.
Monitoring & ops
Uptime, incident status, and key metrics on a shared screen in a NOC, ops room, or standup area.
Offices & events
Welcome messages, meeting room schedules, queue numbers, or wayfinding — wherever a shared display helps.
